Volunteering with the Austin Steel Guitar Fest
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Fest!
Volunteers are the folks that keep things running smoothly – people committed to helping other music people have the very best festival ever – and we simply wouldn’t be able to festival it up without you.
Example volunteer duties include:
- Registration
- Merch
- Stagehands
- Door Security
- Set-up (Thursday only)
- Breakdown (Sunday only)
Who can volunteer?
Anyone over the age of 18 who is an enthusiastic music fan.

- Volunteer T-shirt
- Hospitality room
Volunteers will be given Volunteer T-Shirts! You must wear your volunteer shirt during every shift, and you can’t alter your shirt in any way during the festival. As for the rest of your outfit, we suggest that you wear comfortable clothes like jeans, skirts or shorts and tennis shoes. When your shift is over, feel free to change into your non-volunteer outfit.
As things start to ramp up, we can’t guarantee specific dates of correspondence, but we’ll be in touch with your assignment(s), and any updates as the festival approaches.
